• Eddie Henderson:
Grammy Winner & Legendary jazz trumpet virtuoso, Eddie Henderson has a rich history of performing alongside jazz legends such as Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock. His unique style blends hard-bop and avant-garde elements, making him a sought-after collaborator. Eddie’s Maui debut adds to his extensive career, which has been celebrated with numerous awards and accolades.
• Javon Jackson:
Known for his powerful saxophone playing, Javon Jackson is a Grammy-Nominated artist & Winner of Many Prestigious Awards and former member of Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers. His music often reflects his deep appreciation for jazz traditions while infusing modern influences. His latest album, inspired by Bob Dylan, received rave reviews for its innovative arrangements and heartfelt performances. Javon has traveled the world and has played with some of the best in jazz, blues and rhythm and blues to rock ‘n’ roll.
• Steve Turre:
Recognized as one of the world’s finest trombonists, Steve Turre recently won the title of Best Trombonist for 2026 by the Jazz Journalists Association along with hundreds of prestigious awards . With a career spanning over 40 years with the NBC Saturday Night Live band, he is a master of both the trombone and conch shell. Turre has collaborated with a wide range of artists, from Ray Charles ,McCoy Tyner to Dizzy Gillespie, showcasing his versatility and creativity in jazz.
• Bruce Sunpie Barnes:
A dynamic performer who seamlessly blends Zydeco and Cajun music, Bruce Sunpie Barnes is not only a Grammy-winning accordionist & Harmonica player but also a former NFL player with the Kansas City Chiefs. His high-energy performances are filled with infectious rhythms and soulful melodies. Touring with Paul Simon and other greats, Bruce brings a unique perspective to his music, making his Maui premiere a highly anticipated event.
• Jason Mingledorff:
This Grammy-winning saxophonist is celebrated for his versatility, having worked with a diverse array of artists, from Elton John to Aretha Franklin, Lady Gaga, Dr. John, Tony Bennett, Clint Black, the Four Tops, , the nightcrawlers, The Simpsons TV show and hundreds, more With over three decades in the music industry, Jason’s Maui debut promises a showcase of his exceptional talent and ability to connect with audiences through heartfelt performances.
• Joe Cabral & Doug Garrison of The Iguanas:
Joe Cabral & Doug Garrison, hailing from New Orleans, are the founding members of The Iguanas, an award-winning band known for their vibrant fusion of rock, blues, and Latin influences. Their infectious energy and engaging live shows have earned them a dedicated following, and they bring a taste of New Orleans to Maui, enriching the festival experience.
• Joanna Connor:
Dubbed the Chicago Queen of the Blues, Joanna Connor is a celebrated guitarist and vocalist known for her powerful voice and exceptional guitar skills. A Blues Music Award winner, she has made a name for herself through her electrifying performances and passionate songwriting, making her Maui debut a must-see.
• Maui Jazz and Blues Festival Band:
This ensemble features local talents such as Mark Johnstone, Dave Graber, Howie Retzler, and other well-known Maui musicians. In addition, the festival will spotlight performances from The House Shakers and Fast Freddie and the Blue Lava Blues Band, along with other talented musicians from Hawaii, showcasing the rich musical heritage of the islands.
